Meet the people behind the work

Mama Ngozi
Healthcare Outreach· Wuye, FCT

“Now I know my numbers, and I know what to do with them.”

Mama Ngozi had been feeling dizzy for months but put it down to age. At our outreach in Wuye market a volunteer nurse found her blood pressure at a level that needed immediate attention. With medication support, a simple diet plan and monthly follow-ups, her readings are now stable. She has become one of our most persuasive community health champions.

Emeka
Youth Empowerment· Gwagwalada, FCT

From apprentice to employer in eighteen months.

Emeka was 22 and had spent three years looking for work when he enrolled in our vocational training. Six months of tailoring instruction, business coaching and a starter kit with a sewing machine gave him what he needed to open a small shop. Today he employs two apprentices and supplies uniforms to a local school.

Amina
Educational Assistance· Kuje, FCT

A scholarship, a uniform and a future in medicine.

When Amina's father became ill, school fees were the first thing to go. A teacher referred her family to the Foundation and a scholarship covered her fees, uniform and books. Amina finished top of her class and now runs her school's girl-child health club, teaching younger girls what she has learned.

Mama Aisha & Grandchildren
Welfare Services· Angwan Sairiki, FCT

A roof repaired, food in the kitchen, and peace of mind restored.

Following severe seasonal storm damage to their rented room in Angwan Sairiki, Mama Aisha was on the verge of eviction. The Foundation's welfare team stepped in with emergency roof repairs, bedding, and a six-month staple food care package. Today the family is safe, and the two eldest children have resumed school.

Angwan Sairiki Girls' Club
Advocacy· Angwan Sairiki, FCT

Thirty girls who learned to say ‘no’ with confidence.

Started with twelve girls in a church hall, the Angwan Sairiki club now meets weekly with thirty members. Sessions cover reproductive health, consent, personal safety and leadership. Mothers join once a month. Two survivors have been connected to counselling and legal support through the network the club created.
